What is the purpose of a rainwater tank?

By having an Aussie rainwater tank in your home, it allows you to be freer with your water usage outside the home. No need to worry about restrictions. Additional options such as connection to your toilet or washing machine can also ease your household usage and lower your water bill; its free water!

Do any fittings come with the tanks?

With all Aussie Water Saver tanks a standard 25mm outlet and filter basket comes with your tank; these are already installed.

Do you charge delivery?

For delivery of tanks there is a surcharge of $85; delivery is free if you are installing.

What methods of payment are accepted?

We accept cash payments, visa, master card, eftpos, & cheque.

Is a deposit required?

A deposit is only required for pick ups, this is to secure your tank from the demands that we have coming in. If you are installing, there is no need for deposit, the job can be paid in full once the job is complete.

Why do you only have 10 year warranty?

Because its realistic. We know that many other manufacturers offer a whopping 25 year guarantee on their rainwater tanks, its very easy to say that – we could say the same too. The reality is – it can’t be right. We offer a 10 year guarantee on our tanks because our powder supplier have only been manufacturing for 10 years; so we can’t say it’s life is longer than that.  Here is something to think about – people pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for cars that have been engineered by the best technology on the planet, and they only get between 2 – 5 years warranty with them, so how can a 25 year guarantee for an investment 0.01% of that for a rainwater tank be justified?

Do I have to have a concrete slab for the tank?

Concrete Slab is preferable, however if this is not available in your home, it is not required as long as there is a flat level ground of crusher dust or level soil.

Why are your tanks better than others?

At Aussie Water Savers we use only pure Australian made polymer made of Hexene; a six-strand polymer of polyethylene. These also meet Australian Standards. Our products are not recylced plastics like other tank manufacturers which means that your tank wont loose its shine; all our tanks have a gloss finish. We ensure that our plant operated in a enclosed environment and our tanks are moulded in a closed oven at all times, this allowing us to manufacture our tanks at the perfect temperature to ensure it is created with the highest care and standards so you can get more life our of your tank. Our extra ribbing makes us the leaders in long life tanks as this creates more durability for the harsh Australian conditions which we live in.

Will algae grow in the tank?

No. Our tanks are of high food graded polymer which meets Australian standards.
